The Ins and Outs of Corneal Refractive Therapy

Orthokeratology through Paragon Corneal Refractive Therapy is a safe and reversible alternative to traditional vision correction that is used to reduce or correct the effects of myopia (nearsightedness). The Paragon CRT Contact Lenses are worn at night, providing treatment while the wearer sleeps. By the treatment happening while the wearer sleeps, the wearer is free to forgo wearing contact lenses or glasses during their waking hours.

This treatment is ideal for patients who are very active, find contact lenses or glasses uncomfortable, or simply do not want to wear either during the day. Paragon CRT Contact Lenses are also an ideal solution for patients who are not eligible for LASIK or are fearful of surgery. Since the therapy is also reversible, it also gives the patient total control over their vision.

Orthokeratology with Paragon CRT begins with a trip to our office. We will fit you with lenses that work best for you, and then continue the process through ordering, inspecting, and dispensing the lenses. You will have follow-up appointments to check your vision and see how the therapy is progressing, and Dr. Setty and Amy Fens will keep you updated on what the next steps to take are. They will also instruct you on the insertion and removal of the contacts, as well as the proper cleaning, care, and handling.

Hanover Family Eyecare is fortunate to have two individuals, Dr. Raj Setty and Amy Fens who are licensed practitioners of orthokeratology with Paragon CRT. It is our hope to be able to provide this new technology to our patients and help them to obtain the highest quality vision possible. Schedule an appointment today to talk about your eligibility for Paragon CRT and take advantage of this revolutionary technology and the freedom to become lens free during the day.
